Today was a mixture of good and bad. The day began well, until I realized we were going to play hockey in P.E. *swears profusely* I like hockey, don't get me wrong. It's the people I have to play with I can't stand. *sighs* Today was no exception. But then, I also had to add PMS into the mix, so I'm super-ultra sensitive. To say the least, the hypocrisy of my teacher upset me. Hockey is not a gentle game, but he said--he SAID--no body checking or high sticking, and that he'd give warnings/penalizations. He never noticed. So, it wasn't so much that I got pushed over twice, or my knuckle was skinned (I whacked her shins pretty hard later on for that), but that he did not rebuke those students who blatantly ignored the rules like that.
So I was in tears most of first and second period. Stupid PMS.
Was suprised by a quiz in Physics, but I managed to do okay. I remembered the formulas despite my lack of notes. Then, I got my test back from a week or two ago. I got a 90. I was so happy. I knew I'd be getting about 10 minimum, and actually, were it not for my bad explaining it could have only been 9. *shrugs* For Physics, I'm happy with a 90. It's an A on the math standard.
My day certainly got better in fifth, as I'm student of the week. For the first time, I tried out the recliner, which was the one comfy chair I hadn't tried. Once I had, I did not get up. Ahhh, the advantage of sitting in any comfy chair I choose. I think I'll be sitting there again.
Carvahlo wasn't here, so I spent sixth in the library reading and chatting with Biz. I love my Biz.
After school I went into town with Rhianna and Matt, where we stopped at Subway and TCBY's before going to Page's books. To Rhianna's delight, she found Joanne Bertin's "Dragon and Pheonix" so she doesn't have to borrow it from me, and then in B&N she found "The Last Dragonlord" so she doesn't ever have to borrow that from me again either. Matt was surprised and delighted to find The Prophecies of the Dragon, which is the expansion book for the WoT role-playing game. He was apologetic when Rhianna chose to buy that over the books she was thinking of getting, but she said she'd get entertainment out of it too.
I'd left a couple of messages on the phone to let Gary know where I was--turns out I didn't need to. There I was, two hours later than usual, and no one was home to note it. So I deleted to messages, took a walk, got the mail, emptied the dishwasher when I got back... all that before my step-dad showed up. He'd been out all day.
So anyway, I felt no need to enlighten my 'rents on this unscheduled trip. Mum came home, but she forgot to get milk. On the good side, though, she did get me a can of this mousse stuff that's really good at taming my curly hair.
Like I said, my day was a mix of good and bad.

Fin.
