Happy independence day
Jul. 4th, 2004 06:19 pmHave you ever had a movie (or more than one) that you know the title of, know who's in it, know part of the story or have seen part of it, but never quite got around to watching it in full?
Have you ever been thinking in a sort of flowing consciousness, and had a name, or word come into your mind that you know is part of a phrase or title, and then felt this almost deja vu feeling when you filled in the blanks?
Also, for Anne McCaffrey fans, especially those who've read the Brainship books... I've read the Ship Who Sang. (others, too, but Helva's my point) I've also found a short story in Far Horizons to do with the passing of Niall called The Ship Who Returned. But somewhere out there, that I can't remember, is another short story about Helva and Niall to do with their trip to Beta Corviki that was only proposed at the end of The Ship Who Sang. Do you have any idea where I can find it?
Today I am utterly lame, and declined going with my parents to an independence day bbq. So I was given some "homework" to look into some stuff to do with my college plans. I got to print out at least on thing, but I had the computer crash three times after that. So! We'll just leave that page alone for a couple of days.
Ysterday mum was going over to visit her friend Newell (who has cancer... she talks/visits often) and so I came along and got left at Dawn's. She and I hung out, and I gave her mom a bit of a photo project, and I got to meet Dawn's (hot) bf. Funny that she should be dating a guy two years younger than her when I used to be interested in a guy two years younger than me. And their names both begin with J. The amount of coincidences I get with my friends is amazing.
Well it was fun at Dawn's, and she's coming over this Wednesday and staying for a few days. We will certainly have some fun. She has a trenchcoat much like Trinity's from the Matrix, and it's really cool, because it fits me extremely well. *grins* So have to get photos.
*has Fellowship of the Ring playing in the background* Ah, Boromir is about to die. So said. <3 Boromir... don't curse Frodo you pervy hobbit fancier you...
I want to go to a Ren Faire. Don't know if there is one in the area or anything, but I'd love to go to one. Of course, waiting until AFTER my birthday would be good because then I'd have a little more funds. Of course once my birthday hits I'll then be going, "9 days 'til Laura's wedding..." Ah, man, wish I could be there.
Fin.
