Rolled his truck
Jul. 12th, 2005 06:02 pmFucking hell. My step-dad played frog in the blender with his truck. Mum says he was coming home on saturday, massive cloud burst, he was on that flat straight area a few hundred yards from Frender Ln turnoff, and he slid in the water on the road. Went end over end and then rolled his truck upside down in the ditch. The assessor from the insurance is coming soon and they think he is going to give the truck a death certificate. He was stuck inside the truck, hanging upside down by seatbelt. Firebrigade had to cut brush and break window, then drag him out. The truck had mashed windscreen, mashed passenger side door, side panel of the tray etc.
What saved him was that in that particular ditch there was a nice healthy clump of sallal bush. The cab of the truck came to rest on that. If it had happened further down the road nearer![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
shiseiji's and the dirt ditch, mum might be making funeral arrangements about now. How utterly frightening. Of course, he'd got a bit snappy, so mum had to act out tough, tease him about hsi frog in blender act, and walking like the Tin Man the next day. She did get him in to Urgent Care finally. Fortunately no heart issues, residual chest pain is muscular, bruise to chest wall, not lung or rib probs.
I had a nice day in town with Andrea today. *giggles* Oh, the present she bought me. Hehehehe.
