The letter meme
May. 9th, 2006 03:47 pmSo someone gives you a letter, and you have to list ten things beginning with that letter and what they mean to you.
uptheduff gave me the letter S. Ask me in the comments and I'll assign you a letter. :) I'll try to be nice and pick easy letters.
1. Skirts. I like wearing skirts--on days where it's not cold and/or windy, and I like wearing them without there being a 'special occasion' for it. Some people just can't seem to get that, though. But skirts are cool.
2. Salmonella Dub. It's a kiwi dnb thing. Their music is good. And actually it's NZ music month so this is the perfect time to say something.
3. Sky-diving.
pandoras_evil_t got to do that for her birthday once. Maybe I could get to do it for one of mine. 'Cause I am so going to do it sometime.
4. Sweet tarts. I was asked what my favourite candy is, and barring anything with chocolate, it's got to be sweet tarts. I love that they're both sweet and tarty (like me, ha! :P). I usually can't take sweetness on its own, but with a sour, tarty, or bitter side to lessen the effect.
5. Silver. With my skin tone, silver jewelry looks better, and I have some rather nice pieces that I've inherited or been given over the years, like the ring I'm wearing, or the opal earrings from Aunty Nina.
6. Sweet chili sauce. One of the best sauces for flavouring food. I use it as a little extra in so many meals that would otherwise be kind of bland.
7. Star-gazing. Some of my fondest memories from childhood involve lying on the beach at papamoa and star-gazing with my family. I didn't learn too many constellations--only orion, the southern cross, and the pleiades--but saw a lot of falling stars to make wishes on.
8. Sunday. I once wrote a poem about Sunday. It happened when we had a creative writing excersise in English... and was totally random.
9. Snakes. When I was little we went to Australia for a trip before moving to the States. Once thing I remember was visiting one of those petting zoos, and one of the creatures was a python. Dad was holing me up while the lady came by for us to touch it. I've never really been afraid of snakes, but I wouldn't want to piss one off either.
10. Severus Snape. *grins* I love how dodgy he is. Sometimes he vexes me with the stupid shit he pulls, and other times I admire him like no other. He's got to be one of the coolest characters that woman has created, and I trust him. (would rather trust and be deceived... :P)
