YAM (yet another meme)

rusty spoons - I had internet friend who, many years ago, once threatened to castrate his real life friend with a rusty spoon for daring to chat with me. Well that phrase, that form of punishment, really tickled me and I took it on as a personal motto of sorts... if a boy crossed me, he was going to get the rusty spoon treatment.

puddlejumpers - Puddlejumpers are ships that can travel through the Stargate and are capable of spaceflight as well as in the atmostphere. They don't hold up so well in deep water, though. :D I loved them from the first moment I saw one on Stargate Atlantis (although, of course, prerequisite would be me having the ATA gene, or John Sheppard to fly for me :P).

snarksexual - I came across this term in an icon, which said, "Snarksexual: because there is such a thing as too dumb to fuck." And I loved it. There's a community, even, snarksexual, but it's fairly quiet over there. Anyway, it's all about being attracted to sarcastic people, because sarcasm is hot.

- They say if you have to explain the joke... :P Okay, so there's the Borg saying, "Resistance is futile" when they're on their assimilation bent. Also, the resistance of an object opposing electric current passing through it is measured in ohms (Ω). Less than 1 ohm, and there's pretty much no resistance at all. I hated physics but I still love this joke.



- The dress is pretty. In fact, I want that dress. But also, I just like the colours and the girl, and the fact she's dancing--or about to dance--and I can see it just in the way she's posed.





- You know how there's those sayings like, "OMG racecar bling bling" or "im in ur [noun], [verb]in ur [noun}z" and the like? Well, this is the new internet fad. It comes from a metaquote involving a girl saying to Tim Curry, "That'll give you, er, bees." to her mortification and our amusement. Plus everytime I watch the icon I imagine his voice as he says, "Oh, indeed."
