Autmatic denials

You know, there's this beautiful process known as the Process of Elimination. If I didn't do it, and Alan didn't do it, that leaves two other people in this house who must be resonsible. So why is it every time I confront them about something that's been done (or not done, or used, etc.) that I get an automatic denial? Unless we've got an invisible flatmate, and it's not me or Alan, it's got to be Joe or Heaven. Yes? Yes. So don't fucking tell me that it wasn't either one of you. :(
