Orange belt and dice
May. 1st, 2004 07:16 pmSo there's nothing quite like going into town and helping my mother spend money. Heehee! It was good to be in town on another fine day in a week of fine days. First stop, naturally, was Page's Books. Nothing like hitting up a used bookstore.
We got a few books, and then went to Circuit City. Mum checked out TV and DVD prices while I grabbed a couple sets of headphones for my discman. Next door was the furniture place so mum looked at corner hutches before we went to Linens 'N Things. Hehe, that was fun. Carrying the bag to the truck wasn't.
Next, we hit up the mall. Naturally, we specked out Walden Books, but nothing appealed. Passing by Chaiwallas, the Chai Tea cafe, we got some stuff there before hitting up the food court. I love eating from the Chinese cafe there. What stores did we hit up then? Ah, yes, mum went into Bed, Bath & Beyond while I went into Hot Topic. Then, I dragged her into Hot Topic to see what I liked... namely to do with titanium rings. Anyway, I ended up buying a set of bracelets, four of them were thos black bands that, well, I don't care for. But two of them were a bunch of dice (one's all red, one's all black) and I think they're awesome.
I believe we then went into the Bon, and there I got a cute short black skirt that has studs down the hems on the sides, and a zip-up white hoodie sweater/jacket. Mum got a couple of tops for herself, too. Then I stopped in Rave to purchase a new belt, this one being bright orange.
It was funny, when mum was looking in Mervyn's for short overalls, and I saw those purses, you know the kind... the one's that are of a woman's top? There were some that were bathing suits, one was a proper corset, there was a leather biker/bondage one, and one's that said "Diva" or "Angel" or "Princess." Well, I told mum, as an idea for a grad present, to get one of those and fill it with goodies (which just could include some titanium rings of 16 or 18 guage for my ears). Hehe.
A couple more stores for mum's sake, while I hung out in the truck reading Blood and Gold, and then we came home. So, it was a rather full day. I'm very satisfied. Kind of bloated from dinner, but that's all right. Apparently my friend Ali called and tried to leave a message... she was going to ask me to the movies. But since I wasn't home... no dice.
Fin.
