I have a terrible time counting things. I don't know why. But when things don't add up... I get confused, and freaked out. I'm supposed to be good with numbers.
I spent a lot of time packing things up today. Things that can go out in the damp shed and not perish. I wrapped them carefully and even labelled the box with all the really fragile things. I realized I have a lot of "itty bitty bits" but none I'd like to part with. The fact is, they're tasteful.
If I wasn't doing that, I was reading, or walking in the snow. I loved it. We had four inches and it was pretty. The kitties walked in each other's tracks, to keep from having to walk in too much snow. They had very direct paths to where they needed to go. So funny how they hate it.
The amount of snow made me miss Spot.
I was sitting in my chair, reading with Sam on my lap when all of a sudden Gary got out of his chair and said, "All right, lose the kitty."
I glanced at him and asked, "Why?"
He didn't answer, just told me to lose the kitty and come with him. Two minutes of bantering must have passed, as I asked where we were going and why, and him not answering beyond us going into the new house. Finally, I put down my book and stood up (displacing the cat), and followed him into the new house. It was just carpeted earlier this week, so it was cool to see that.
Moving on up stairs to my bedroom, I found out Gary just wanted to know how I wanted my wardrobe done. As in... shelves? Well, we figure there will be shelves on either side of a door, and some above the rail to hold hangers, but not too many. However, I'll probably do well to hang all my shirts and such so it's no biggie.
He could have just said so in the beginning.
Fin.
