1. Your LiveJournal user name and what it means: Xanthia is the nickname a regular of a chatroom (I was also a regular of) used to call me; a variation of the screenname xania_99. Only, well, with an underscore so lj wouldn't piss me off by saying, "Sorry, that name is already taken."
2. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) how well does your LiveJournal represent who you actually are? I think perhaps 7 or 8. There's a few things I don't share on my lj.
3. How much about your life do you post to LJ? Sometimes I post way too much nitty gritty details, trying to remember everything, and other times it's vague and I can even confuse myself later on as to whatever the hell I was alluding to. So it averages out.
4. Is there anything you refuse to post about? Explicit details of my sex life. TMI with certain things.
5. On a scale of 1-10 how interesting do you think your own journal is to others? I think it get's a 6, or a 7. I think I can be painfully boring sometimes.
6. Has anyone ever joined LJ because of you? Yes. diea. pandoras_evil_t. To a degree I recced it to ervinai.
7. What proportion of your posts are friends only? Less than 5%. If I can't say it in a public post, I usually prefer not to say it on my lj. But there are some things I'm not willing to leave for everyone to find, like my mailing address.
8. What are your top five favourite interests on LJ? slash, fanfiction, remus/sirius, books, rusty spoons
9. How often do you post in communities, and did you ever start your own? I am most active in support_hp with several posts there. I've posted once or twice in about seven other comms, of the 35 I belong to.
10. How often do you respond to/comment on other people's journals? As often as I feel I have something to say. Sometimes I go into lurk mode, and then out of guilt I'll go into supercomment mode where I comment on every entry I can say something.
11. Do you prefer to write in your journal or read other journals? Lately I've shifted to reading more than writing. I think perhaps because I don't feel like I have much worthy to contribute in an entry. It's been a lot of memes and quiz results. (My bad.)
12. Have you ever had something mean said to you or been stalked, harassed, or got into an argument on LJ (or did it to someone else)? The meanest I've got is someone being a bit snarky when they pointed out my Ron/Hermione icon was mispelled (not galindaupland, someone else as V2.0 also had a typo). Mostly the critcism was that it was technically a spoiler. Otherwise any arguments through journals has been over at dj.
13. Have you ever banned someone from your journal? No, although I almost ended up disabling anonymous posting as a preemptive strike against trolls. I did ban a couple of people from my dj, once, but that was some time ago.
14. Why are you most likely to add someone to your friends list? I made a post about this once.
15. Do you automatically add friends to your journal if they add you first? No. I usually like for them to leave a note, somewhere, saying, "btw I'm adding you" but often I will look at her (my entire f-list is chicks. Her is standard.) journal to see if I will end up reading those entries when they show up on my f-page. There's only a handful of people I haven't ever friended back.
16. What is the most likely reason you wouldn't add someone to your friends list? She just wants me to add her so she has more people on her f-list, without ever taking the time to know me, and comment on my entries, but demanding I comment on her entries. Or I'll be cut. (I won't beg for friends.)
17. Is your "significant other" on LJ? Alas, I no longer have a significant other. Bastard.
18. Have you ever wanted to meet someone on LJ? Yes. Several someones. I've met blue_raven. I know 8 people on my f-list, all met and friends before I had an lj. But I would quite like to meet my CoE circle: diea, macjinx, ervinai, & autumnjedigirl. And also mikazuki because I love inspiring her for artwork.
19. Who are your four favourite LJ friend(s) and why? Okay, this going to take a little bit. By lj friends... I'm going to summararily exclude the friends from real life. The ones I knew before lj. So that leaves...
First, virginhuntress gave me the code to acquire an lj, back when a code was still necessary, though she didn't even know me. I just noticed a comment she'd left over at paris_cafe and followed her to her lj because of an Orlando Bloom icon. But she generously shared a code with me, and friended me, and I love to read about her. I love her icons, and her gorgeous layouts.
Second, diea and I have a psychic connection. While nothing can beat Our Conversation, her entries are always worth a read. She makes me think, and laugh, and get songs stuck in my head. I can say the craziest stuff, and share anything with her. She even has her own special filter which is probably uncessesary but fun.
Third, peaseblossom03 is just the coolest hippie elf chick. Since I first began reading her entries at CoE (where she was the first and only comment on my first of entries there) I've admired her. She tells such great stories. Even when she's pissed off, she writes with a focus and certain point in mind. She's not afraid to express her views, even if some people on her f-list disagree. It's her journal and she'll post what she wants. (and hell, she grows virtual weed.)
Fourth, cynicalpirate and fandom love. When I started avoiding remusxsirius pre-HBP, I still wanted to read her awesome little island fic, and I'd keep peeking at her journal. And I would find myself laughing and delighted at what I read. Not only is she a HP fan, but Georgia Nicolson too. It's all British and full of sophisticosity and fabbity fab fab. I almost invariably end up laughing like a loon. Wish I could be as witty in the Georgia way. + write great fics. + have ideas to mock the wanky fandom and get people to make icons. (like me)
Of course, if you're on my f-list, you obviously interest me too. But I did have to limit my picks to a favourite four. 'Snot like I don't love reading your entries just as much for the cool stuff you post.

11. What do you think about the person who took this survey before you? Rachel is artistic and cool, and I keep forgetting she's younger than me. I wonder if that gives her the same feeling it gave me when I was her age making friends with people the age I am now.

2o. How many rolls of film do you need to get developed? I haven't used my camera since I stole the batteries for the flash to use in my discman. And so I haven't finished that film, and that's the only one I've got.
21. Favorite age you have been so far? 19. A lot of things have happened and I'm old enough to appreciate them like never before.
22. Your worst enemy? Quite likely, I am my own worst enemy.
