xansMet up with a new group of people and went out on the town Saturday night. We watched the Chelsea vs. Manchester United game at the Courtney Arms. It was okay, except that I almost fell asleep a couple of times and some random drunk was horribly sick in front of us. But then we buggered off to a new bar... it just so happened to be the GAY bar.
At one point I went with one of the girls to keep her company while she had a smoke outside. A few our group were on the dancefloor and the rest stayed at the table to drink. Anyway, we were standing there talking when the next thing I know, some girl is leaning over to give me a kiss on the cheek before going inside with her girlfriend. W. T. F. That was random.
And I really hate how the library is only open for about three hours on Sundays. That's crap. There's never anything to do to while away Sundays. I hate that.
A couple nights ago I caught this battle of the sexes game on C4. Both the contestants were crap. If I'd been the girl playing I would have kicked ass. First question was "which woman is the US Secretary of State?" and I knew that to be Condoleeza Rice. Niether of them got it. Second question was something like "which teenage football star just broke his foot?" and niether guessed that one either.
The guy didn't give the answer but I'm pretty sure it's Mike Rooney (and I only guess that from watching the game on Saturday). Third question was, "Which actress just named her baby Moses?" and the girl guessed Katie Holmes, which is obviously wrong and I knew it was Gwynneth Paltrow. There were a couple questions after that, but still, if I'd played... :P
That is the most excitement in my life at the moment. I'm pretty boring, yeah. Ah, well.
