I spend the latter half of the afternoon/early evening with Grant yesterday. Despite the awful weather, and the fact that he's been working a lot and was tried and a little scruffy... I felt slightly guilty at dragging him around and monopolising his time, but he said he didn't mind. It was still a pleasant time, in which we wandered through at least four bookstores, one or two CD places, and Toyworld. Plus a walk along the waterfront.
And this was well, although conversation was difficult around Lambton Quay with the busses, the music blaring out of stores, and the construction work. But, well, we did end up in quieter places where conversation needn't be conducted at the top of our lungs.
We also saw the sister of one of his ex-girlfriends, one he's still on good terms with. She had very pretty red hair... but then, there was the other ex we passed in the street. She looked awfully smug, and I can't imagine why, unless it had absolutely nothing to do with us. Somewhat eerie that we should pass her again later, in a different part of town. Especially as Grant had seen her maybe three times in the last year, and then twice in one day whilst in my company. Would have been funnier if the second time was while with another female friend, leaving her confused as to just who the hell he was with.
I had a craving for fish'n'chips, so we had that for tea and a drink at the Irish pub. All very well and good and he walked me home afterwards. It was an enjoyable evening, and I'm glad that we can spend time together without having "hiding from the world for a wee while" ~my euphemism that
diea rather likes. ;)
Anyway, offskis now.
