So I just woke up maybe an hour ago, after having a wee nightmare about being sent back to Intermediate. In no way will that uniform ever look good. Also, surrounded by 11 and 12 year olds, when I want to swear up a storm? And then Alan didn't quite get the hang of rescuing, since he showed up, and told me to come with him, and then drove off without me... amazingly I nearly caught the car by running, thank goodness dreams can do that sort of shit.
Another random dream I had last night involved me having a baby. From the colour of his skin it was kinda clear that Alan was not the father, and yet, he and I weren't broken up, so I can only imagine this stemmed from a discussion we once had where, should I reach 'time to have baby' stage and all systems weren't a go for him, then sperm donor time... anyway, this baby of mine, he was rather adorable. I don't remember naming him at all in my dream however.
I cooked roast pork last night. I have never actually cooked a roast before. I looked up tips online to make sure I wasn't going to fuck it up, and, well, everything turned out okay. And Heaven was happy, because she can't eat pork (it makes her ill, or something), and I went and fried up a couple beef & cheese schnitzels for her, anyway. But damn my roast was good.
The weather has gone downwards over the last couple of days. Sucks shit. I hate cloudy rainy, even if the gardens do need it. I was quite amazed because a couple of weekends ago Alan managed to get lightly sunburned from his time at the beach. It sure turned him very brown, at any rate. Speaking of weather, how is this for weird and fantastic...
Christchurch's temperature of 9 degrees (celsius) rose to 21 degrees in 20 minutes yesterday. That? Would be one hell of a body-fuck, I reckon. The kind of reaction the body gets to the shift of just one degree, and this was 12 degrees in a short amount of time. Uh. I do rather wish it was around 21 degrees here, though. Am cold.
Have I mentioned my cat is weird? She is. She totally is. She sits around looking cute and begs a lot when we are eating, wanting our human food. BUT, I'll offer her tidbits of this or that sometimes, and she wont eat it. A bit of roast pork I offered her last night. She likes chicken, but not the chicken from the chinese shop. She'll eat chilli con carne, but turn her nose up at fish. (her cat food is usually some kind of fish flavour, though.) And it's not like I give in to her demands all the time, so, I'm usually a little put out if she decides to be a fussy tart, because, hello, this was a treat here, and now you don't want it? She's weird.
Anyhow. Life's life.
Fin.
