"Die fast and quiet when they interrogate you or live so long that they are ashamed to hurt you anymore."

"Don't watch the underclass. It's more likely that the warlords will kill you."

Jenny Holzer, two of her plaques from the Survivor Series.

Rahhh... so tired. Walked and stood and walked so much. Saw so much. It was intense. It was awesome. And Wytch, I'll be damned if I remember the name of the portrait either. Know which one you mean though. V. cool. Mum and I were there with her friend Alicia and Alicia's S.O. Mike.
It was so weird to see some of those paintings right there in front of me. I mean, you see prints of some of it all the time. But they never show the texture of the paint... it's so cool! I just wanted to run my fingers over them. Of course I couldn't and didn't, but I wanted to so bad.
Of course after we'd had our fill of the exhibition stuff we went upstairs and looked at all the stuff on the third and fourth floors. Pretty fun. Neat stuff. Saw those plaques and wrote them down on the paper bag holding my one card, two post cards, and mum's magnet of Van Gogh prints.
We were there about two and a half hours before our stomachs were empty pits demanding to be filled. Wandering over to Pike Place we finally settled on lunch in Kell's Pub. Lovely Irish music to go with the good food. Awesome soda bread, and mum and I both got sausage rolls that were soooo good.
Here is your horoscope for Saturday, September 4: Now this is a day you can live with. Your fondness for good food, sweet music and fun companions will be running on high -- and you'll have plenty of company in your pursuit of all those things. *laughs outright* Brilliant!
We stopped by the Tea House right next to the pub and I was more than a little amused when this African gentleman walked in and was talking with the saleswoman... and I propositioned mum to get me a Cadbury Flake bar since she was buying a recipe book to do with ice tea. Then we went to the Bon Macy's (Gary had given mum a $100 gift card as an unbirthday present) while Alicia and Mike went home.
There we found jewelry and I scored well in the lingerie section, and mum got spoiled with a make-over. The woman who did it was so cool. We both thought she was German or Austrian but it turns out she was French. She had the coolest stocking/pantyhos I've ever seen. And gave mum a good make-over. So mum got some products and then planned to stop by Rite Aid for cheaper versions of the lip gloss and eye-shadow.
We had to stop by this one meat place at Pike Place Market to get some pork sausage meat and such for Gary. And we looked into this one clothing store mum loves--she spoiled herself but wouldn't spoil me :( hehe. We also stopped by the Spanish Table to get some more of the drinking chocolate stuff and I was winked at by the man behind the counter. *coughs* I don't know what it is with Seattle and older men but there's always one I notice noticing me.
Saw the cruiseliner the Diamond Princess at port, which was kind of cool. I've never really seen a cruise ship in person before, just seen 'em on TV and stuff. It's not the same. Made me remember how I'd love to, one day, take a trip on one just because I'm damn curious about 'em.

Fin.
