So last night I had this rather disturbing nightmare. I was pregnant, which wasn't the scary part. What was utterly terrifying was I realised that my unborn child wasn't moving or growing, and trying to explain my dilemma to healthcare professionals and no one would pay attention to me. Woke up feeling quite shaken and sick with worry about that. Had to remind myself I'm not pregnant and that so wouldn't happen to me if I was.
So my oldest cousin and his wife just had another baby. This is their third child, their first girl. Most of me is quite happy for them.
Part of me can't help but pout about the name though. See, they named her Violet Naomi. This cousin is from my father's side of the family. My mother's mother was Naomi Emily Violet and I confess I had been considering Violet as a name for a daughter of mine if/when I have one. So part of me is pouting that I'm kinda robbed of the name, heh.
Kinda silly and selfish, right?
Part of me can't help but pout about the name though. See, they named her Violet Naomi. This cousin is from my father's side of the family. My grandchildren :P Isabella and Danielle are at the standing up stage, almost walking without assistance. And just so cute.

It's a beautiful sunny day. This makes me happy anyway.
Saw some movies I quite enjoyed... The Spirit, and Mall Cop, and I can't remember if I said we watched Fast and the Furious Four... plus renting out Underworld: Rise of the Lycans again so we could watch it properly.
Anyway... baking time.

So, home tomorrow. The current exchange rate is sucky, because $60US from my grandparents (much appreciated) only got me $85NZ. Normally I can expect $90 or more, or, in the bad old days when the rate got down to about 44/45 cents to the US dollar, I more than doubled my money... :D
Saw Sorcha for last time before leaving. Watched some SG-1 with Ange. Confused the baby when she woke from her nap and she could feel boobies but they didn't smell like mum's and she really wanted milk... Passed her off to Ange before she could start squaling.
Anyhow, got to pack and all.

pandoras_evil_t gave birth to a baby girl at eleven thirty-five a.m., she is seven pounds ten ounces. Her name is Sorcha Morrigan Andrea C------- and I think she looks like a cabbage patch doll. *grins*Anywho, I missed all this as I was on the train up to Hams, Ange got confused and thought I was coming up a day earlier, and couldn't bloody wait 'til I arrived. Le sigh.
