Okay, funny thing. Last night, I had a sex dream, which was a threesome of me with a guy and another girl. Slightly weirded me out, because, hello, girls aren't really my thing. Also, she was blonde, and I don't generally find blonde girls attractive at all. So why would I get in a threesome with one? *shrugs* I wasn't thinking much about it, but then, I was straightening my hair when I got a text...

And it looks like I might be finally meeting this guy from Myspace tonight. What's more, he asked me if I'd ever been with a chick, and would I be open to a threesome with a chick? I had to see a picture of this girl, because if she was blonde, I was gonna laugh so hard. Well, he sent me a picture, and she is. Brotherly hug my arse - In the third Harry Potter book, during that explosive scene in the Shrieking Shack, the text reads that when Remus realised Sirius was innocent, he "embraced him like a brother." It's sort of a shipper's denial about that, because I will always imagine they were together.

Fox terriers - My mum and her cousin both had foxies, and they were just adorable. Incredibly smart. Fly's nickname was Houdini, because he was notoriuos for finding ways out of the yard to wander off and explore. They have absolutely no road sense, and love to try choking themselves on the leash when taken for a walk, but they're awesome dogs. They're little, and clever, and cute:


Piglet - Everyone has their favourite Whinnie the Pooh character, right? Most people, it seems, like Tigger or Eeyore, although I'm sure there are others who adore some other character. An ex- of mine liked Kanga and Roo. For me, it's Piglet. He's the one that doesn't get the limelight very often. He's quiet, and shy, and smart, and the best of friends for Pooh. So I like him.

- Last place I lived in the States was this tiny little place called Seabeck, on the Olympic Peninsula, just outside of the town Silverdale. Anyway, when I went through my entries to tag them all, I found an old conversation I'd transcribed that I still remember, and still giggle about. So when I got in an icon making mood, I had to throw in the best part.




- This is another icon made from rereading old entries. It's a sort of motto I should try to live by, given some of the not so grand times I've had with drunk guys. It's not like any of it ever led to bad sex, exactly, but things could have been better, if they weren't drunk. Or I was more drunk, or something.





- Dean/Metallicar is my OTP. *snickers* Or possibly Sam/Dean/Metallicar, but anyway. I like this icon because, well, I adore Dean (and how much he loves the car) and rocking out to whatever music... And everyone's got those "Rock on!" moments, yeah?





Mmm, anyway, despite my efforts (ha!) I've been totally drawn into the McShep pairing and reading far more fic than I thought I would. It's kind of like my weakness for Daniel/Jack. It's like... I don't ship them, certainly not what I'd want as a canon pairing, but I keep reading fics where they're together anyway, because they're just so believable in the fic. I'm weird, I know. And I'm still going to read all sorts of fic. Heh.

Has anyone ever been surprised with sex? Like, you weren't expecting to get laid and weren't even feeling that desirable, but whoever has the job of satisfying those needs jumped you anyway? (Or at least tried to, and you figured what the hell anyway, despite the not knowing it was gonna happen.) Yeah. Also, this guy makes me feel like I weigh next to nothing when he picks me up and carries me to the bed.

So, didn't meet that guy. Thought about it, planned on it, and then decided not to when he mentioned being tired. Decided it can wait for some other time. I don't want to be with someone who's gonna fall asleep on me.

Seems my week for encounters on Myspace. Normally I don't have anything happening over there. Occasionally I get Myspace whores wanting to add me, and for a while I had a stream of sci-fi authors making a bid for my attention. In face, I just got invited to read the blog of some guy that looks like he's trying his hand at sci-fi fiction. The other message I got is someone giving me props for posting a bunch of links to YouTube vids I've enjoyed. I feel so popular. :P

Life is nothing interesting. I'm on a broke streak at the moment. Hopefully this will change soon. Otherwise, I am well, and I hope y'all are doing just fine, too. Or, y'know, if you're not fine, you know you'll be okay, in time. *hugs f-list* I care about you guys, even if I don't always say it.

rusty spoons - I had internet friend who, many years ago, once threatened to castrate his real life friend with a rusty spoon for daring to chat with me. Well that phrase, that form of punishment, really tickled me and I took it on as a personal motto of sorts... if a boy crossed me, he was going to get the rusty spoon treatment.

puddlejumpers - Puddlejumpers are ships that can travel through the Stargate and are capable of spaceflight as well as in the atmostphere. They don't hold up so well in deep water, though. :D I loved them from the first moment I saw one on Stargate Atlantis (although, of course, prerequisite would be me having the ATA gene, or John Sheppard to fly for me :P).

snarksexual - I came across this term in an icon, which said, "Snarksexual: because there is such a thing as too dumb to fuck." And I loved it. There's a community, even, snarksexual, but it's fairly quiet over there. Anyway, it's all about being attracted to sarcastic people, because sarcasm is hot.

- They say if you have to explain the joke... :P Okay, so there's the Borg saying, "Resistance is futile" when they're on their assimilation bent. Also, the resistance of an object opposing electric current passing through it is measured in ohms (Ω). Less than 1 ohm, and there's pretty much no resistance at all. I hated physics but I still love this joke.



- The dress is pretty. In fact, I want that dress. But also, I just like the colours and the girl, and the fact she's dancing--or about to dance--and I can see it just in the way she's posed.





- You know how there's those sayings like, "OMG racecar bling bling" or "im in ur [noun], [verb]in ur [noun}z" and the like? Well, this is the new internet fad. It comes from a metaquote involving a girl saying to Tim Curry, "That'll give you, er, bees." to her mortification and our amusement. Plus everytime I watch the icon I imagine his voice as he says, "Oh, indeed."

Last night I was half-way through an episode of CSI: NY when my flatmate sleepily stumbled into the living room to ask if anything decent was on. Kinda freaked me, because I'd been under the impression he'd gone out several hours earlier, when, in fact, he'd only gone to bed (had an early morning, what with having to attend an ANZAC parade, and he's not a morning person). Thankfully I didn't embarrass myself by screaming or something when I saw him appear out of the shadows of the hallway, but my heart did jump.

Mmm, yesterday, after my insomnia got me up at four-something in the morning, well, I decided that just after seven would be a grand time to talk that walk listening to happy upbeat music. So, into the CD player went Eve 6, and off I went in time to miss Calum and Michaela getting up (how/why those children never sleep in is beyond my ken). I decided to alter my route a wee bit as well, for variety's sake. This is an idea that could have gone really bad really fast...

I'm walking down a street when out of the corner of my eye I see two rottweiler's trotting up to say hello. Now, I'm not the slightest bit afraid of dogs, and even though I hadn't even seen them 'til they were nearly on me, I didn't freak. It was just the way they approached me was that of excitement, like, "OOH! Someone to play with us!" rather than bounding at me barking furiously and deciding they wanted to try human. Still, two puppy-like rotties each weighing probably half as much as I do or more, who never learned not to jump on people?

They were also completely oblivious to my commands to go home, and wouldn't leave me be. They either walked deliberately in my path to slow me down to jump at me, and were under the impression I had treats in my pockets along with my cold hands. So, darlings that they were, I didn't really want them following me my entire walk, and I couldn't just leave two rotties wandering around, y'know?

So I walked towards the houses in the direction they'd come from, hoping at least one of the neighbors would know who the dogs belong to. Fortunately, I picked a house where the young couple and their kids were already awake and up, so I didn't disturb them on that count. I still apologised as I asked if they knew who might own them, and also, if they didn't, call someone to pick the dogs up. The guy stayed outside with me and the dogs to keep them wandering far or scaring his kids while his wife called the pound--but seven something on a Sunday morning? Pound was closed. So a few more calls later, and eventually the dogs were picked up by the MPs (military police. Oh the joys of living in a military camp. It's not that bad at all, actually...). I hope they found the owners and stuff, 'cause the dogs were nice, if, y'know, playful and adoring.

Also, sidenote of weirdness, perhaps as a disappointment on Supernatural not showing on Friday, and also overheatedness (I went to bed in many wrm layers and that probably gave my dreams a twisted turn), but I dreamed about them last night, too. I don't remember much, but in my dream Sam was left facing the ghost things alone, unarmed, because Dean was...doing something with Papa Winchester...but they showed up in the nick of time to help Sam. But Sam wouldn't talk to his dad, just grabbed some stuff out of the trunk and went back to face the ghosty creature and I sorta lost the plot after that. It was just weird watching Sam all angsty but also in charge.

I also dreamed about SGA a wee tiny bit, and, well, my spaceship. Yeah, Valerie. She showed up in my mind some weeks ago, and been prodding me to design her layout, and further discussions with Matt are hammering out technological things. And now I'm figuring out her crew. This is all sorts of fun, but it invaded my dreams, damnit, and that's just crazy-obsessive of my brain.

Hopefully she'll get a hold of more and we can sit back and admire them, too. We don't actually have any pictures of being out on the town, just ones from dinner... but hey. In a bid for more linkage... I decided to go looking for CSI: NY fanfic that was Danny-centric, but non-shippy. I found a few, before I got overwhelmed and beat a hasty retreat. But there's one I read, about Danny and Flack set between Seasons 2 & 3, called Brothers and Sisters (Everything I Can't Remember). There's a second, third, & fourth part, as well. And man... I try not to cry over fics. Sometimes I can't stop tears welling up and letting one or two loose. *shakes head* This fic had me damn near bawling by the end. I liked it a lot, though.

...and now I'll get back to betaing a fic for ashinae.
