So... been hearing about Supernatural for goodness knows how long. Heard so much about Sammy and Dean and Papa Winchestor, yeah, and mostly been confuzzled. Can't keep myself away from the picspams, either. Well, I have seen a grand total of two (2) episodes and... I don't know. I think I need to watch more. I'm just not sure how into it I'll ever get. Even though, Dean...yeah...

So I just had to look up screencaps for the episode "Consequences" when I caught this glimpse of Flack making this oh-so-sweet smile... and then I discovered some other expressions he made that left me giggling. 'Cause I'm a loon.

"There's leftover fish and chips from last night," Suzy said, as a possibility for my dinner tonight--she and Dad are having dinner over at Eileen's, and I'm on my own for a meal, again.

I barely stifled a smirk as I replied, "Uh, no, I had the fish and some of the chips for lunch."

A series of "Good," "That's very good," and whatnot came from both sets of parents. I felt like a dog being rewarded with praise for good behaviour, and said as much. "Do I get a pat on the head too?" I asked jokingly.

Of course, Dad took me at my word and started patting my head, not too gently, before patting the side of my face as well. When he did that, I turned and stuck my tongue out--I didn't really want to taste salty palm, but it grossed him out sufficiently that perhaps he'll remember not to do that again.

Also, let's see... Bones. Dude, Booth? Rebecca and Cam in a handful of days. Kind of want to cheer him on, at the same time, kind of want to roll my eyes at him. Loving the Angela/Hodgins flirtations. Still would love to see a fic where Zach pwns everyone. And I don't usually go for pwnage.

Um, and, Heroes? Seriously thinking of Petrellicest, because, ha, like being brothers ever stopped anyone. Or in conclusion, cousins, either.

Also, cannot believe I'm actually kinda losing my passion for House. It's not like it's not a good show. But, seriously, it's just not drawing me in like it used to. I don't know. I'll probably still keep watching it anyhow.

Still need to look into SPN, which I know we get, and Dresden Files, which I don't know if we get, but have been told by my mother that it's my kinda show. 'Cause, like, I totally need more fandoms. And brothercest shipping.

So, Bones last night? Someone, please tell me where to find caps of Booth as he's giving Brennan the little pig. Also, why do serial killers have to look so damn good?! Eppes=Hotness. Damn.

As for Heroes, have I mentioned just how utterly adorable I find Hiro? 'Cause he's so adorable. And also, the eye thing, when Isaac and then Peter do the precog painting stuff? V. v. cool.

I feel so moody right now. Up and down, sometimes I feel great and other times I can't seem to stop crying. I lack motivation to do anything, particularly involving food. And I know that's a bad thing, because if I don't eat I get depressed, and when I get depressed I don't eat, thus furthering the cycle of badness. Damnit.

So, since about...Christmas? Or slightly before mebbe, anyway, [livejournal.com profile] pandoras_evil_t & [livejournal.com profile] the_chief_80 have been slowly buying up each season of Stargate SG-1. They own up to Season 6 now. And we've been watching them, and enjoying them immensely. For whatever reason, though, our watching of Season 6 seems to have passed so much more quickly than previous seasons. Not sure how/why this is. Time is relative, I guess.

Anywho, watching some of the special features included "The Lowdown" which was the Sci-Fi channel special type thing that came out just before Season 7 started up. It was quite fun to watch. Ange and I both "oooh"ed when we saw Amanda Tapping has her bellybutton pierced. That is just all kinds of hotness.

Need to find myself a couple fic links I may have lost. Shit.

Ah, well.

Wesley Crusher: [to Riker] What should I say? How do I act? What do I do?
Commander William T. Riker: Guinan, I need your help. Could you step over here a minute?
Guinan: Sounds simple enough.
Riker: [to Wesley] Now, first words out of your mouth are the most important. You may want to start with something like this.
[to Guinan]
Riker: You are the most beautiful woman in the galaxy...
[to Wesley]
Riker: But that might not work.
Guinan: Yes! Yes, it would.
Riker: [to Guinan] You don't know how long I've wanted to tell you that.
Guinan: But you were afraid.
Riker: Yes.
Guinan: Of me?
Riker: Of us. Of what we might become...
[Wesley tries to interrupt]
Riker: ...or that you might think that was a line.
Guinan: Maybe I do think it's a line.
Riker: Then you think I'm not sincere.
Guinan: I didn't say that. There's nothing wrong with a line. It's like a knock at the door.
Riker: Then you're inviting me in.
Guinan: I'm not sending you away.
Riker: That's more than I expected.
Guinan: Is it as much as you hoped?
Riker: To hope is to recognize the possibility; I had only dreams.
Guinan: Dreams can be dangerous.
Riker: Not these dreams. I dream of a galaxy where your eyes are the stars and the universe worships the night.
Guinan: Careful. Putting me on a pedestal so high, you may not be able to reach me.
Riker: Then I'll learn how to fly. You are the heart in my day and the soul in my night.
Wesley Crusher: [interrupting] I don't think this is my style.
Guinan: Shut up, kid!
[to Riker, saucily]
Guinan: Tell me more about my eyes.

Okay, so, um, Saturday was my best mate [livejournal.com profile] pandoras_evil_t's birthday. Her 21st, in fact. Big shindig like thing planned. Ish.

Well, dinner at Valentines where we all dressed v. v. nice and somehow managed not to get pished or spend a hell of a lot on the bar tab. And then Damo, Ange, Anita and I were off out on the town (after Ange and I did some creative changing in the car to clothes more fit for bar crawling).

But, let me start at the beginning.

Early afternoon found me frustrated and swearing, as my attempts at ironing the wrinkles out of my dress appeared to be... nonexistant. Given that it's a dryclean only dress and I had to use the low setting on the iron, I mean, I don't know. I don't know a fucking thing about ironing, but the wrinkles were not fucking off. And then Ange texted me asking if I wanted to come over early, watch some SG-1, and still hang out while she and Damo were off at Zuki's where she was getting all sorts of pampered.

I still hadn't straightened my hair. But okay. Shoved things into a bag, and headed on over. A couple streets away from her place, I looked down and, to my shock, disovered a Samsung mp3 player that, while clearly having been run over at least once (the headphones were crushed) was still intact and working. And whoever it was that lost it has a fairly decent taste in music. Now I just gotta find myself the software, somewhere, somehow...

Watched SG-1. Ange came home in time to just about cry over Daniel dying after pulling a Spock. And then we had a minor Danielgasm at the special features tribute to him. Hee.

Dinner was fine. She got lots of cool gifts, and I was almost (but not quite) tempted to try the baby octopus they had on offer... but they were just a little too disturbing. And Ange wasn't nearly drunk enough for us to trick/dare her into trying one. No matter.

First bar we were at, decided to play some pool, doubles--Me and Anita vs. Ange and Damo, which was mostly us against Damo. Ange had only played pool once before, and, well, she's never really been known for her gaming prowess. But it's not like Anita and I kicked ass. We did win the first game, and then rather spectacularly lost the second game. And owe our final victory to Ange, although the chances of us winning that one seemed a mite better than theirs, any how.

Highlights of the game include:
Ange sinking the white ball plent of times, but the only times she sunk any other ball was the black ball to bring them, and then us, to victory.
Damo being the only one to knock the white ball off the table.
Damo aiming for either two of balls and bouncing the white over both of them straight into the middle pocket.
Not to mention a couple of shots I made that, well, it was a fluke I actually sunk a ball. But still, we had a lot of fun.

Also, while we were playing, we were... approached by a group of guys on a Stag night. They each had a list of things they had to do, and, well, we helped them out a little. Um. I helped them out most. See, the groom needed to acquire a pair of women's panties.

So I sold mine to him for $20.

And then I ended up giving up my pantyhose to one of the other guys, while Ange gave another her stockings.

This may be whiy I oughtn't go out on the town anymore. I do crazy stuff that involves a fair amount of shamelessness, and, usually, a lacking of sobriety. I go and do it stone fucking sober. Go me!

We wandered around a couple other places, but the music was rather shite and I didn't have a real hankering for getting pished. Also, I forgot to think about the fact that straightening my hair and not wearing my glasses makes me not resemble my passport photo so much. Once place I had to give my name and birthdate and have both bouncers look at me vs. my picture. Anyway, we went home about one something in the morning.

Slept late; missed Anita leaving but found $20 she dropped by the door. Um, decided to watch Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure 'til Ange and Damo got up. Not long afer they got up and the movie finished, we went to the Base to look into acquire Season 6 of SG-1. Well, first we had lunch at BK, where I had possibly the best burger I have had in ages. The Ultimate Double Whopper? It's... a proper size burger. With, like, all sorts of tasty ingredients. I was very satisfied.

Anyway, Wharehouse at the Base didn't have Season 6, but the Hilcrest store did, so we went over there and got it, plus a couple of movies, and some meat for dinner, then we went to Ange's mum's. She'd taken most of Ange's presents and the leftover cake home just so we didn't have to worry about them in the car while we were out on the town. Grabbed all that stuff and then went back to their place.

Yay, watched the first couple discs... had kinda forgotten how cute in a lost puppy kind of way Corin Nemec/Jonas Quinn can be. Also was amused at the return of McKay, after the poor guy got shipped off to Siberia (although he was being a right royal prick, that time). Still, I love me some SG-1.

And now I'm caught up on my f-list. Yay.

Looking up weird random things like wtf is Jericho, and some way to figure out the general dimensions of both a Stargate and a Puddle Jumper, because my mind demands more specifics... and somehow stumble upon Firefly Life's Lessons. Shiny. If I can just have that poster for my bedroom wall, now...

Also, never thought it'd be possible to have too much cheese, but... too much cheese I did, indeed, have. Might have helped if I'd had some crackers or something, anything, to go with. I didn't think that far ahead, though. And...ugh. Too much cheese.

I should go hang out with Ange. Watch more Stargate. Help her get past any upsets and issues she's holding in.

So Eileen kindly took pictures of me last Saturday, "before" and "after" pictures from getting my hair cut (and straightened). I... got a lot of hair cut. It was a huge pile. Kinda wish I'd managed to get a picture of that, too. Ah, well. Anyway, Eileen said she'd get the pictures to me by Wednesday, on a CD, but... it's Thursday, and no CD. Damnit.

Not going to push her about it, though. She was nice enough to take pictures in the first place. My f-list can wait to see the effects, methinks.

Nothing else happening at all, really. All my Christmas candy has been consumed...no more chocolate to satisfy my cravings. Damn.

Oh, yes, this is my first entry of the year. Woo. I totally failed to get drunk on New Years, despite an abundance of Jack Daniel's, tequila, sambuca...yeah. There was alcohol. I just wasn't drinking it. And I totally tuned out the ramblings and confessions of Ange and Jas'n, who were pished. But then, I was trying to watch more Stargate SG-1, damnit!

We also finished watching Firefly and Serenity also. Plus the outtakes. So many more lj icons make sense to me now. Liek whoa. :D

Okay, yeah, totally still alive and all that jazz. Why no posts?

Well... who wants to hear about my Christmas? I mean, really. *shrugs* There was family, food, waaaay too much sugar, a remarkable restraint with the booze, and, of course, presents. I think I managed to do all right and getting the right gifts for people. Although Iain is the hardest fucking person to get presents for, EVER. Shockingly succeeded just fine with my dad...

Anyone remember Charlie Bear? 'Cause Ange got me another bear to go with him. So far, unnamed, and I'll try to get pictures up, too. If I had Charlie here, I'd get pictures of the two of them together. It's just, Buddy (dad's poodle) has this crazy idea that Charlie is, in fact, a toy for him. Much the same way he'll fixate on Suzy's rubber duckies, particularly the ones with squeakers.

Speaking of Ange, I've been spending a whole bunch of time over at her place the last few days, as we've been watching Stargate SG-1 all over again, as she acquires each new season. Well... actually she's only got Season's 1 and 2 so far, but, yeah. We've been watching them. And, since I didn't get the one thing I really asked for--NOT that I'm complaining. The presents I did get are wonderful, it's just that what I asked for I did not receive, and that is okay, because I promptly went out and bought it for myself--NOW that I have the money to do as such.

Firefly.

And Serenity.

Hee. Can't wait to watch it all.

Have been doing terribly domestic things like baking and laundry and loading/unloading the dishwasher, plus little things like making dad a cup of coffee before he's even got up. Oh, yes, not to mention being the last to bed and the first to rise. And that means locking and unlocking the doors and feeding the animals and all that jazz, too.

What the hell happened to being the lazy little twat I usually am?

Also, keep not getting around to watching the rest of the Black Books DVDs, v. terrible of me, really. Am far more excited at the prospect of watching the first season of SG-1 at Ange's this Saturday (having spotted it in the Wharehouse and persuading her starting at Season 1 to introduce Damo to it was a far better idea). I mean, obviously we won't watch the whole damn thing in one sitting, but we can make some headway, and hopefully Damian won't fall asleep like he often does.

Have mysterious scrapes on two knuckles... not a fucking clue how I got them, or why they're one different fingers of both hands. 'Snot like I've been getting into any sort of ruckus... (unlike my cousin John, the cop, who sent another entertaining email about the shit he gets up to in his job) Heh.

Iain has arrived up from Wellington, was here for all of five minutes, and promptly buggered off with his mate Ben. Ah, well, obviously we can play catch-up and all that jazz later. Yay.

Am I a terribly boring person with a terribly boring life, or what?

Wednesday, Ange, Damo and I went up to Auckland, well, Manukau city really, and the mall there, whatsit...Westfield? Whatever it's called. A shopping mall. Had lunch at Wendy's first. I have not had Wendy's in a long time. In fact, this is the first time I've had Wendy's in New Zealand. Sooo...about two years since I've been to Wendy's. It was good, anywho. And then we went to the mall...

...wherein I did not spend a whole lot of money on myself. Although I was sorely tempted on a couple of occasions. I resisted. Instead, only bought a little extra pressy for dad that, well, will probably be more played with by me and any other children. But there was this one store with a bunch of dragon stuff and ooooh how I wanted to buy all sorts. Again, resisted.

Ah, well... there's bound to be Christmas money to fritter away, and all that.

So work started up at the Christmast tree place last weekend, but thanks to weather and it still being November, business was pretty slack and I basically got paid for doing very little. In fact, I'm not sure I didn't cut my first tree for the year until Thursday. Yeah, Thursday.

THIS weekend on the otherhand, was v. v. busy. We sold 230 trees on Saturday (first Saturday of December last year, we sold 130.) and 140 trees yesterday. It was all out. I am, to say the least, a trifle exhausted. But I have tomorrow and Wednesday to recover.

I was down to 17c of credit on my phone, so last night after work I rushed to the dairy with some of my first week's pay to put some money on my phone and buy some chocolate. Then I texted Ange about coming around to watch CSI Miami and Numb3rs to make fun of Horatio and perve the Eppes brothers. It was all good. We drank wine and all that.

*laughs* I'd brought around my Black Books DVDs a week or so ago to introduce Ange and Damo to that particular brand of amusement... and there is a new addition to their collection of DVDs now as Damian promptly went out and bought their own copy of the entire series. Hehe.

Came home from work today, forgetting completely that it's Monday and that my (step?) neice Amarah and nephew Izayah would be here while their parents went and played tennis. But it was pretty sweet. Amarah was shy of me at first, as usual, but she warmed up pretty quick. It was really funny after my shower and I was combing my hair, and she sat there with her little hair brush copying my moves. Not to mention before that, at dinner, I stole Dad's plate while he was distracted by Izayah, so Suzy and I could pretend we were going to eat the last of his pie. Suzy and I looked over to see Amarah trying to pick up Izayah's plate to mimic my actions of putting it up by Suzy.

She is the cutest little thing. For whatever reason, she's developed some attachment to my glasses case, because she's gone into my room two or three times to retrieve it from my nightstand. I don't mind, I just don't understand why she feels the need to pick it up.

I didn't have the time, but I should have asked Carla when she and Gene came to pick up the kids, about giving me a haircut. I just had a huge battle of untangling it (resolving in the form of a fucking huge hairball, no noticeable hair-loss on my part, and a shitload of frizz) and I'd really, really like to cut it short again. It hasn't grown at all since I had it trimmed in August, at least, I don't think it has, and I may very well have reached the limit my hair will grow to, as it prefers to be extroadinarily thick rather than a great, great length. No matter. I'd like it above my shoulders again. I'll ask Carla about it later, I s'pose.

I also wanted to straighten my hair, tomorrow maybe, but it looks as if the weather is refusing the cooperate. A fucking brilliant weekend of sunshine, and the two days I get off and it's going to fucking rain. Gods be damned. Eh, bien. Some other time, I'm sure. It'll be a piece of cake if I get my hair cut, though, yeah? 1 & 1/2 hours shaved down to, probably not more than half an hour or so. I should think. That would be brilliant.

I have no fucking clue what to get anybody for Christmas. Except a fake engagement ring for Ange. Other than that? No idea. Am thinking about participating in the Christmas Card Exchange Meme, but, at the same time, don't know if/when I'll have the time & energy to get my shit together. So it might be best if I just sit back this year...I don't want to disappoint anyone.

It's crashed on me three times today. Stupid thing.

Dad found a couple old sheets of stickers. It's Trolls. Remember the litlte troll figurines? And the ones with jewels on their bellies? Yeah, those cute/ugly little things.

Talked to my mother. It's snowing. My Godmother is over visiting at the moment and she was so excited. She's not seen snow or anything. She picked the perfect time to visit the States, really. Got to gorge on Thanksgiving dinner and everything.

We didn't have one here. Although dad did make a pumpkin pie. Oh, and an apple crumble for me and Andrew 'cause I don't like pumpkin pie and Andrew's got major dairy allergies. Andrew brought over a marshmallow cake, but I don't like it very much. Or not at all.

Have v-neck sunburn 'cause I'm le idiot. It was like, the one part--no, no, my hand is sunburned too I think--still, the few bits of skin showing yesterday and they got burned. Fucking hell. *wears sunscreen*

Went over to Andrea's last night. We had a very nice dinner. Drank wine. Watched Black Books episodes until 8:30. Then Andrea laughed as I yelled at the tv and mocked Horatio Caine. And then we watched Numb3rs. The pair of us melted when Larry asked Megan out. It was geekily sweet.

Am thinking about doing something special on the 15th of January. That will be my half-birthday. I didn't do anything spectacular for my 21st, so maybe I should do something then. As well as celebrating Ange's 21st in Feb. We're going to get so very drunk, I can imagine.

Proof there is hope yet, from [livejournal.com profile] overheardnyc:
Teen ghetto girl: If you had a daughter...
Teen ghetto boy: If I had a daughter, there ain't no way she'd be leavin' the house with them short shorts and shit. And she fo' sho' wouldn't be playin' with them barbies. Barbies is evil. They mess with girls' brains, makin' them think they need to show off their shit and have babies when theys like 15. No barbies. Only puzzles.

And yes, there is an icon of "No barbies. Only puzzles." Becuase that is awesome.

For myself, and [livejournal.com profile] pandoras_evil_t, I recently had a sudden craving for Stargate fic, and discovered some rather interesting stuff... Like a website containing links to Daniel-Centric Fic which also gives links to three Stargate Archives, StargateFan, Heliopolis, & Area 52.

Hotel Sex -Daniel/Greg House NC-17 crossover, quite amusing.

This fic was inspired by Michael Shank’s story at GateCon. When asked for some insight into the show, something we fans don’t know, he said (and I quote)… "Daniel’s actually a night-time ninja. He fights crime in the streets of Colorado Springs… When everyone thinks he’s up late studying stuff, he’s actually fighting crime on the streets… There’s a little tidbit for you fan fiction writers." Poor man never realised that fanfic writers, like bunnies, live on tidbits. The quite funny Daniel-ninja trilogy: Average, Everyday, After Everything & Ancient Empires.

The Auction, a funny, Daniel-worship fic in which Hammond, O'Neill, and Jackson are part of a bachelor's auction.

Sympathetic Magic It's Jack/Daniel, sort of PWP but I found it rather amusing.

Another Fine Universe You've Gotten Us Into Mirror universe fic, sorta Jack/Daniel but ultimately I love it simply for one little line about Daniel's eyebrows. Not to mention this...

"Colonel Carter is a theoretical physicist. I'm the engineer. She's the one who comes up with the unworkable theories, and I'm the one who makes them work," Dr. O'Neill sniped, wheeling his chair back.

"Sorry if I trust Carter a little more than you, but I remember our sixth-grade chemistry class," Jack shot back.

Dr. O'Neill spread his hands out before him. "One little explosion!"

And other slash recs and all that jazz.

Okay, okay, I'll stop now. Really. Honest. *nods* Promise, 'n all that. Uh-huh. Won't happen again.

I was walking back to my place yesterday and I got wolf-whistled at from a passing van. *was amused* It's been a while since that's happened. I also wasn't surprised, considering I was wearing a short skirt, knee-high socks, and had my hair down since I straightened it on Thursday.

Drank a bunch of bourbon and coke with Glenn and Paul... possibly volunteered to be a cook/bartenter/slave on a sailing expedition. Forgot to have dinner. Had fun watching Distraction UK. Good show, that.
